The Austin Marathon Relay benefits Junior Achievement, an organization that reaches over three million children a year, teaching them financial literacy skills and the importance of staying in school. Junior Achievement, or JA, makes a difference in the life of a child because JA's business and education partnerships show how America works. Test results prove that JA programs help teachers teach better and students learn more. How You Can Help
When a runner registers for the Austin Marathon Relay, they are automatically enrolled in Team JA. As a member of Team JA, you are invited to raise funds to benefit Junior Achievement to help change the lives of more than 15,000 kids in Central Texas and join over 600 Texas JA volunteers who help us inspire kids to succeed.

As fundraising members of Team JA, they will enjoy a special hospitality tent at Auditorium Shores, providing them with food and water on race day. The 10 runner fundraisers who raise the most money will receive a special prize, such as Team Austin finisher medallions, plus win a spot on the JA All-American Team. This prestigious team, sponsored by American Airlines, will travel together to a surprise location and represent Austin in running event outside of Texas!
